The Ship’s Belle

This quick march was commissioned in February 2017 by The Association of W.R.N.S. (The Women’s Royal Naval Service) in celebration of their centenary year. There are quite deliberately musical references to The Royal Navy as this was part of the commissioning brief so melodies such as Hearts of Oak, Rule Britannia, Sailors Hornpipe and Life On The Ocean Wave will be very apparent to the audience.

I was ambushed into writing this march by my wife Beverley who is a former member of The WRNS so I really had no choice!
